After some downtime due to COVID 19 along with ongoing issues with City of London authorities our outdoor site is now open and normal flying hours have resumed.

Please note the following when flying:

  • You must have your valid Pink/Yellow Epping Forest permit in your possession at all times when flying at the field – The rangers have expressed that they will be checking these more frequently.
  • When flying, please try to have a companion with you to act as the safety officer to warn you of any hazards that may occur.
  • A maximum of 6 aircraft of any type can be in the air at any one time.
  • Try to keep noise down to a minimum. There are nesting birds and warnings throughout the site, so we don’t want to be seen as disturbing them.

We are also in the process of obtaining permanent printed plaques to be erected around the flying site to warn the public of flying model aircraft.
We are also still in the process of obtaining a key to the main gate which I hope to have within the next few weeks.

Please do try to make it along if you can to show that the club is still very active during these unprecedented times.
Kind regards.
